ANZAC Day - Lest We Forget
Samuel Gilbert Public School celebrated and commemorated ANZAC Day 2004 with a whole school assembly led by Year 6 students. Children from all classes contributed to the floral wreath which was laid around the school flagpole.
Kindergarten enjoyed a visit from a father who is currently a member of the Royal Australian Airforce.
The day provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to gain a greater understanding of the contribution made by our servicemen and women.

They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them.
