The theme for Book Week this year is “Reading Rocks”
During library lessons, students from Kindergarten to Year 2 have been exploring the wonderful picture books which are on the shortlist for 2005. Our library has been decorated with a rock theme. Please come in and see what we have done. We have on display a great collection of rocks from armoured fish to space rocks. Read the posters on the library windows to find out more about monolithic rocks and monuments around the world.
Book Week is organised by the Children’s Book Council. Each year the council submit a list of the books written by Australian authors. These books are purchased by the school and are available for students to borrow.

To add to our celebrations the school will be hosting a Book Fair in the library and we will be visited by the percussionist “Drum Beat” to add further excitement to our “Reading Rocks” theme. |
