In Term 1, our caring G. A. Mr Young rescued a brown creek frog from certain demise from a hungry magpie.

Mr Young brought the frog to the Science room just in time to hear the remaining part of the story Lester and Clyde being read to the Kindergarten children. They chose the name "Lester" for the frog.

Lester had an injured eye and so was tended to for 2 weeks while he recovered. He enjoyed approximately 30 small live crickets during his short stay. This must have helped him to recover quickly.

When he was released into the local creek area, he blended in well with the surrounds and hopped off into the creek.
